Brings 20+ years of experience in the Real Estate Data/Valuation industry, as a National Sales Rep. While building a grassroots, multimillion-dollar book of business with Fortune 500 companies, he mastered the art of handling challenging negotiations and protecting his clients’ interests. His talent largely springs from creatively thinking outside of the box, devising strategies, and staying current on evolving technologies (while still following the tried-and-true methods that benefited his past clients).
Kirt’s lifelong passion has always been surfing, but he fell in love with the WNC area so much, that he embraced making Brevard his permanent home. He has since become an avid mountain biker and hiker.
Is a second-generation Realtor that spent her college summers answering phones and learning the ropes at a prestigious firm that her mother managed. She earned her MBA when her three children were tiny, laying the foundation for many transferable skills that include multitasking, critical thinking, analytics, and the hard-earned ethic of time management. She also inherited her mother’s creative design gene, which comes in handy when assisting clients with home staging and realizing a home’s potential.
Cathy loves to hike, play tennis and is learning to master the DIY projects.
Both hold licenses in North Carolina and Florida, and have a 30 years combined experience in the real estate industry. While Kirt loves the “big picture,” Cathy is the go-to gal for details! When not consumed with work, they are constantly knee-deep in ongoing remodelling projects. Both feel privileged to serve this beautiful mountain community.
Furry Team KirtCathy
Our Furry Team often accompanies us while logging in the miles previewing and scouting homes for our clients! You can’t appreciate the scope of our team without becoming acquainted with ALL of the members who provide us with love, support, and companionship.
Violet (aka as Mama V.) is one of three rescues but certainly is no shrinking flower. Although not especially comfortable around strangers, she is, however, a kind and gentle leader to the Furry pack. With her natural athletic ability and hours of never-ending Frisbee, we recently promoted her to Athletic Director.
Melly is the only non-rescue member of our team. It was immediately apparent that if the West Minster kennel dog show had a category for plus-sizes, she would take best in show (puppy pic above). We like to refer to her as “curvaceous.”
She is somewhat of a canine epicurean, and connoisseur of all foods (foodie), but her most endearing quality is her enthusiasm and effort. This makes her a natural fit for Team Spirit Leader.
Like the story of the three musketeers, there almost wasn’t a fourth musketeer because D’Artagnan was the runt of the litter. So tiny he was removed from his original litter and moved down to younger ones three times. Through sheer bravery and a heart full soul (and some dedicated parents), he not only survived but now thrives. He is now almost double the size of his littermate, Kieran. Blessed with uncommonly large pricked ears he is an exceptional listener, but his real talent resides in his chill outlook and ability to fall asleep anywhere and anytime… more of the surfer’s demeanor like his dad. His gentlemanly charm and cornflower blue eyes charm the ladies and has earned him the title of Social Director and Lead Greeter.
The beginning of the journey for Kieran (whose name means “small, dark one” in Gaelic, and is D’Artagnan‘s litter brother) was difficult and trying. No one is exactly sure what happened in West Virginia? Upon arrival to the pack, he was dirty, scared, and socially inept. The simplest and most mundane functions did not exist. Originally velcro to Cathy, he eventually integrated into the pack and reestablished his brotherly bond after a nine-month separation. Like many who struggle and come from humble beginnings, it was necessary to be smarter than the pack. Kieran’s brain never stops. With a quick mind and curious nature, he is constantly thinking, analyzing, and weighing all options before he acts. He’s the Chief Inspector of all rehab work, always making the rounds. Naming him the Chief Analytics Officer was a no-brainer.
In 2021, we were privileged to receive a phone call asking if we could squeeze in just one more?Upon hearing that the pup had vision in only one eye, how could we refuse?! Welcome Luca! He has wonderful energy, bounds enthusiastically everywhere, and has one beautiful blue eye. Although he has limited vision, he doesn’t know that. He sees all, and then some. Hence, the new title of Forecaster.
Please note we, too, are cat lovers and have two at home. Coconut and Mia run our wellness center. They are constantly exemplifying the importance of long lazy naps in the sun, demonstrating correct stretching and yoga techniques, and lead guided meditations designed to live in the present moment. They remind us to slow down, snuggle up, and enjoy the little things in life.
